Finding good baby stores in Springfield, MO honestly isn’t as easy as it should be.
Unlike bigger cities, we don’t have dozens of baby boutiques on every corner. But after four kids, I’ve figured out which stores are actually worth stopping at and which ones I find myself recommending over and over again. And since I’m a newborn photographer here in town, I get the inside scoop from moms at almost every session — this list is built from what real Springfield moms are actually buying and loving.
Whether you’re shopping for your first baby, putting together a registry, looking for a thoughtful baby shower gift, or trying to find an outfit for newborn photos, this list has a little bit of everything. I’ve included local baby boutiques, places to save money on baby gear, and even the stores I always seem to end up at when I realize we’re out of diapers…again.
If you’re wondering where to shop for your growing family, these are the baby stores in Springfield, MO I’d start with.

Springfield doesn’t have a huge selection of baby boutiques, which honestly makes me appreciate these local shops even more. If you love finding unique gifts, adorable baby clothes, or something you won’t see on everyone else’s baby, these are the places I’d check first.
If someone asked me where to start, Jellybeans would probably be my first answer.
It’s one of the few true baby boutiques in Springfield, and they have everything from baby clothes and books to toys, nursery décor, and some really cute baby shower gifts. It’s the kind of store where you walk in for one thing and end up wandering around because everything is adorable.
I also love sending newborn clients here if they’re looking for an outfit for sibling photos or a simple coming-home outfit. Their clothing has a timeless look that photographs beautifully without feeling overly trendy.
Best for: Boutique baby clothes, baby shower gifts, and newborn outfits.
Sugar Cube Lane is technically in Nixa, but it’s close enough that I think it’s worth including.
If you’re someone who loves shopping local, this is another great baby boutique with adorable clothing, gifts, and accessories that feel a little more unique than what you’ll find at big box stores.
It’s also a fun place to look if you’re putting together matching outfits for family photos without everyone looking too “matchy.”
Best for: Boutique baby clothing and unique gifts.
I love stores where I can shop for myself and my kids at the same time, and Jade Tank Boutique is one of those places.
They carry stylish women’s clothing along with baby and children’s outfits, which makes it easy if you’re planning maternity photos or family pictures and want everyone’s outfits to coordinate without making five different stops around town.
Best for: Coordinating outfits for moms and babies.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned after four kids, it’s this…
Don’t spend your entire budget on newborn clothes.
They’re adorable…and they’ll fit for about five minutes.
These are the places I recommend if you’re trying to save money while still getting quality baby clothes and gear.
Once Upon A Child is probably one of the best baby stores near Springfield if you’re shopping on a budget.
You can find gently used baby clothes, swings, bassinets, toys, books, shoes, and just about everything else a baby needs for a fraction of the price.
It’s also a great place to take all those clothes your baby outgrew way faster than you expected.
Best for: Affordable baby clothes and baby gear.
Other Mothers has been around forever, and there’s a reason people keep recommending it.
They carry maternity clothes, baby furniture, baby gear, toys, and children’s clothing, making it one of the easiest places to knock several things off your shopping list at once.
If you’re expecting your first baby, definitely put this one on your list.
It’s usually around this time that maternity photos are on the brain too — I love when an expecting mom comes in already thinking ahead to newborn photos.
Best for: Maternity clothes, furniture, and baby gear.

This isn’t technically a store, but I couldn’t leave it off the list.
If you’ve never been to a Just Between Friends sale, imagine a giant room filled with thousands of baby clothes, toys, books, nursery items, and equipment from local families.
It’s one of my favorite ways to stock up before a new baby without spending a fortune.
I hear about the best sale finds from moms during newborn sessions all the time.
Best for: Saving money on just about everything baby.

Sometimes you don’t need a boutique—you just need somewhere you can grab diapers, wipes, pajamas, and a baby gift while you’re already running errands.
These are the stores I probably shop at the most.
Carter’s is kind of the classic baby store.
If I need pajamas, onesies, or everyday outfits that I know will hold up, this is usually one of my first stops.
Best for: Everyday baby clothes.
H&M honestly surprised me.
If you love soft neutrals and simple baby clothes that don’t have giant characters or loud patterns all over them, it’s one of my favorite places to shop.
Their baby clothes also photograph beautifully if you’re planning newborn or family photos.
Best for: Neutral baby clothing and newborn outfits.
The Children’s Place is another solid option if you’re looking for affordable everyday clothing.
They run sales all the time, which makes it easy to stock up on basics without spending a fortune.
Best for: Budget-friendly baby and children’s clothes.
Let’s be honest…
We’re all going to Target anyway.
Whether you’re grabbing diapers, wipes, bottles, nursery décor, or working on your baby registry, it’s hard to beat the convenience of finding almost everything in one trip.
Best for: Baby registries and everyday baby essentials.
Walmart is another one of those practical stops.
It may not be the cutest baby store in Springfield, but when you need formula at 8 p.m. or realize you’re almost out of diapers, you’ll be glad it’s there.
Best for: Affordable baby essentials.

If you’re headed to a baby shower and want something a little more thoughtful than grabbing the first thing you see, these are the places I’d start.
Whether you’re looking for a sweet keepsake, an adorable outfit, or something practical the parents will actually use, each of these stores has great options.

One of the questions I get asked all the time as a newborn photographer is,
“Where should I shop for my baby’s newborn photos?”
The truth is…less is usually more.
Soft neutrals, simple textures, and outfits without huge logos or busy patterns always photograph the best. Those timeless pieces keep the focus on your baby instead of the clothes.
Jellybeans, Sugar Cube Lane, and H&M are usually my favorite recommendations if parents want to shop themselves.
But honestly? If you’re one of my newborn clients, don’t stress too much about it. I have wraps, swaddles, bonnets, headbands, and newborn pieces in my client closet because I know you’ve already got enough decisions to make after bringing home a new baby.

Shopping for baby clothes is fun.
Watching your baby actually wear them somehow goes by way too fast.
Those tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, little yawns, and fuzzy shoulders don’t stay little for long.
If you’re looking for a maternity photographer, newborn photographer, or family photographer in Springfield, I’d love to help you preserve this season before it slips by. I’ll help you every step of the way—from planning outfits to using pieces from my client closet—so you can simply enjoy your growing family.
